Township Memorial Building
THE ONTONAGON THEATER OF PERFORMING ARTS

The Ontonagon Theater is located on the second floor of the Ontonagon Township Memorial Building above the township library.

Access
The auditorium can be reached by a staircase from the main entrance or by a ramp from the parking lot. Patrons who find stairs difficult to manage can be driven to the top of the ramp and enter the theater at floor level. To make this entrance available to anyone who may need it, the theater asks that no cars remain parked at the top of the ramp on performance days.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT THE THEATER

Donate a chair

Honor a special person or organization by purchasing one of the theater's beautiful velvet chairs, inscribed with your dedication, for $250. Memorial chairs are a way to provide a lasting memorial for a loved one, and dedicating a chair to honor a living person tells them how much you value them while they can enjoy it. By purchasing a chair, you're contributing to the theater's development in a way that many can enjoy.

Consider a cash donation
Although all workers at the theater are volunteers, there is an outstanding debt on the theater lights, rigging, sound equipment, dressing rooms, and other construction projects needed to make the theater operational. Any contributions toward reducing this debt would be greatly appreciated. The Ontonagon Theater of Performing Arts is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by the IRS, so all donations to the theater (including chair purchases) are tax deductible.

Volunteer your time and talent
Volunteers are always needed. Offer to take tickets or join a committee. Housekeeping is a never-ending job that could use a volunteer coordinator, and if you know anything about theatrical lighting or operating a sound board, we'd like to hear from you.

Attend events
No show can be a success without an audience.

Spread the word
Tell your friends and neighbors when you enjoy an event at the theater or hear about a coming event that sounds interesting.
